For each cleaning, you need one FAP1, 2, and 3 (item no. 9168B).

The Bardahl DPF Professional Cleaning Kit cleans clogged diesel particulate filters and brings engines out of emergency mode. Prevents premature replacement of the diesel particulate filter and extends its lifespan by up to 100%. This can be done without disassembling the diesel particulate filter.

Soot is caused by incomplete fuel combustion. The problem is that ash and contamination accumulate in the diesel particulate filter, clogging the pores. This clogging will ultimately lead to a significant increase in NOx emissions and fuel consumption. Regular maintenance of the diesel particulate filter is therefore essential.

Many diesel engines with a particulate filter are equipped with an automatic regeneration program. This involves injecting more fuel into the engine to achieve a higher combustion temperature. This can destroy the buildup of soot particles.

However, this can also result in unburned fuel mixing with engine oil, potentially causing damage. Moreover, such regeneration is often impossible because many cars are used in the city and spend a lot of time in traffic jams. As a result, the necessary temperature for combusting the particles is not reached.

To prevent you from having to purchase a new particulate filter, Bardahl has developed the DPF Professional Cleaning kit. This professional cleaning kit ensures that the filter is cleaned without disassembly.

The cleaning process is carried out in three steps using products FAP1, 2, and 3, which are available as a set.

First, the particulate filter is cleaned with product FAP1. The product is added via the supplied bottle, which must be connected to the supply line of the differential pressure sensor. The system is then flushed with FAP 2 through the same line.
Finally, the corresponding additive FAP 3 is added to the fuel tank.
