Preserving and treating contaminated diesel.
An excess of moisture reduces the lubricating properties of diesel and can lead to mold formation and bacterial growth. These bacteria must be removed to prevent them from clogging the fuel system and causing the engine to stop working.

To treat diesel that is contaminated with bacteria, a biocide (an antibacterial agent for diesel) is required. We offer biocides from GROTAMAR and BARDAHL DAB.

Grotamar 71 has been known for years among watersports enthusiasts as the go-to product for preserving diesel oil and even making it usable after bacterial growth has occurred in the tank.

Preventing diesel contamination.
To avoid complications, you might consider using an additive called Bardahl BDC. BARDAHL BDC is a product that provides effective protection against the growth of mold and bacteria. Additionally, this agent is known to reduce moisture absorption, which in turn helps prevent bacterial formation.

Regarding the recommended use of Bardahl BDC: during the summer months, it is advised to add 0.5-1 liter per 1000 liters of diesel fuel. In the winter period, however, one should use 2 liters per 1000 liters of diesel fuel.
