Bardahl Diesel Antibacterial DAB.
(DAB) removes bacterial growth and mold from diesel fuel.

Bardahl Diesel Antibacterial is an effective biocide specially developed to remove bacteria from diesel fuel.

Bacteria and mold can clog diesel filters and also damage the injection system of high-pressure injectors (Common Rail). The cause is moisture. The use of biodiesel and the significant reduction in sulfur in fuel poses significant problems in practice.

A half cup of water in 1000 liters of diesel fuel is enough to trigger microbiological growth.

Water is insoluble in fuel, especially in warm and humid environments. It condenses from the fuel and the air in the tank as it cools.

It collects at the bottom of the tank or forms droplets on the walls and in the fuel lines.

At every stage between the refining process and your fuel tank, microorganisms such as bacteria, yeast, and mold can multiply exponentially in the water and form biosludge (biological sediment).

Heat accelerates this microbial growth.

Turbulence can dislodge the microorganisms from the water and biosludge and mix with the fuel. The problem with biodiesel is moisture/water.

Biodiesel absorbs much more water (up to 8 times more because biodiesel is hygroscopic) than the EN590 diesel oil of the past.

Moisture in fuel is a direct source of problems.

How does moisture get into the fuel tank?

Temperature fluctuations, dark spaces, long storage periods (e.g., after a winter), and poor fuel filler seals all contribute to the formation of moisture or condensation in fuel tanks.

Fuel always contains some moisture. However, diesel can absorb a maximum of 0.02% water.

If the diesel contains more than 0.02% moisture, it will slowly settle to the lowest point in your fuel tank.

Excess moisture reduces the lubricity of the diesel fuel and will eventually lead to bacterial growth. These bacteria must be removed before they clog the fuel filter and prevent your engine from running. To effectively combat the growth of bacteria and mold, a product has been developed specifically to prevent the formation of bacteria and mold.

Diesel Anti Bacteria has already proven itself in the world of boats and yachts, where it is used to prevent the formation of harmful substances during extended periods of non-use.

The authorization number issued by CtgB is 15122 N CtgB (Board for the Authorization of Plant Protection Products and Biocides).

• Protective treatment 0.05–0.20 l/1000 l of diesel
• Cleaning contaminated diesel 0.20–0.50 l/1000 l of diesel
• Shock dosage 0.5–1.0 l/1000 l of diesel
