Knock Out Octane Booster Bardahl Knock Out Octane Booster is an easy-to-use fuel additive that increases the octane rating of gasoline.

The product contains no lead or aniline and can be used in both leaded and unleaded gasoline. The Problem: Many engines are designed to run on high-octane gasoline. When these engines use fuel with too low an octane rating, they will experience "knocking," a warning that the fuel is burning poorly, resulting in a loss of power and possible engine damage.
Even engines designed to run on low-octane gasoline can experience afterburning (dieseling) or knocking due to deposits accumulating in the combustion chamber.
How It Works: Deposits in the combustion chambers, improper engine tuning, or fuel with too low an octane rating are all causes of engine knocking.
Deposits in the combustion chamber can cause afterburning (dieseling) or spontaneous combustion of the gasoline after the engine is stopped.
Regular tuning of spark-ignition gasoline engines ensures proper ignition timing and prevents engine knocking. Deposits in the engine can alter the effective compression ratio of an engine.
Such deposits can cause pre-ignition and detonation (premature combustion).
Pre-ignition is the ignition of the gasoline/air mixture before the spark plug ignites it, resulting in what is known as "knocking."
Detonation can also result from using fuel with too low an octane rating.
Using Bardahl Knock Out Octane Booster increases the octane rating of gasoline and produces a more controlled, even combustion, while reducing knocking caused by pre-ignition and detonation.
It also inhibits after-dieselization caused by deposits in the combustion chamber.
Increasing the octane rating can vary depending on the quality of the gasoline.
Extensive testing has shown that an increase of 4 to a maximum of 7 points is possible.
