Bardahl B2
An oil additive for classic cars, vintage cars, and motorcycles with high mileage or excessive oil consumption.
An oil stabilizer and thickener for (classic) cars/motorcycles with high mileage or high oil consumption.
It thickens the oil, resulting in a better seal around the pistons.
As a result, the engine will consume less oil (due to the improved seal) and, thanks to this sealing, or filling, will provide better compression.
The effect
You'll notice this in improved pulling power and improved throttle response.
Black smoke emissions (black indicates oil consumption) will also be reduced because the oil will have less chance of seeping into the combustion chambers past the pistons.
Always read the instructions on the label before adding this product.
Do not add more than directed, as this may have an adverse effect.
Product Information: B2 Oil Treatment
Bardahl B2 Oil Treatment is a motor oil additive designed to reduce oil consumption and restore lost engine power in older cars. It contains Bardahl's "Polar Attraction" formula.
There are many causes for an engine's oil consumption.
First, there is normal consumption, as considered acceptable by the manufacturer.
It is true that an engine may consume a small amount of oil, as long as it remains within the normal consumption range. Abnormal oil consumption can be caused by: · mechanical wear · excessive demands or overload · unfavorable operating conditions. All these unusual oil consumptions can be completely stopped with Bardahl B2 Oil Treatment.
The YORK research laboratory in Stanford, Connecticut, demonstrated that in many cases, oil consumption could be reduced by 100%. The Problem: Oil consumption due to mechanical wear is one of the most common causes of oil consumption. As engines age, the piston rings and cylinder walls begin to wear.
A space develops between the piston and the cylinder wall, allowing the oil to escape to the combustion chamber.
In the combustion chamber, this oil is partially burned.
The unburned portion creates exhaust smoke; this is a clear sign of significant wear.
As the engine warms up, the oil (even multigrade) becomes thinner, and more oil will escape.
This causes more smoke, carbon deposits, and fouled spark plugs.
At the same time, fuel vapors and exhaust gases escape past the piston rings (blow-by), resulting in loss of compression and power.
How Bardahl's world-renowned B2 Oil Treatment works is a combination of two products: a viscosity improver (prevents oil consumption) and an anti-wear additive (prevents even more wear).
The viscosity improver gives the engine oil more body, thus creating a better seal between the piston and the cylinder wall. This prevents blow-by, and in many cases, exhaust smoke will disappear completely.
Compression is restored, automatically making more power available.
Simultaneously, Bardahl's renowned anti-wear components ensure that vital engine parts are coated with a thin, yet extremely strong, lubricating film.
This halts the wear process and ensures thousands of kilometers of worry-free driving pleasure. This additional feature significantly distinguishes this product from other similar products.
Tests
In an extensive series of tests, the YORK Research Laboratory tested Bardahl B2 Oil Treatment in engines from older cars. These engines were known to consume oil.
The result: Bardahl B2 Oil Treatment reduced oil consumption (in some cases by 100%), reduced exhaust smoke, improved compression, and increased oil pressure.
YORK declared that Bardahl B2 Oil Treatment lives up to the manufacturer's claims, with results ranging from good to excellent. This test has been repeated regularly by various researchers, with consistently consistent results.
Instructions for Use
Add the product to a warm, idling engine. Add 10% to the engine oil at each oil change (not above the maximum oil level).
In extreme cases, up to 20% can be added. Bardahl B2 Oil Treatment can be added to any mineral oil and is available in small packages: 300 ml cans (up to 3.5 liters crankcase capacity) and 400 ml cans (up to 5 liters).
Conclusion
Bardahl B2 Oil Treatment is easy to use and considerably less expensive than installing new piston rings.
B2 is therefore often called "an overhaul in a can." When an engine has run more than 60,000 km or is experiencing excessive oil consumption, Bardahl B2 Oil Treatment is the best way to avoid high costs.
