Bardahl Radiator Fast Flush is a product specially developed to remove oxidized and solidified byproducts of antifreeze and coolant, as well as burnt-on residues.
It is a combination of sulfate-succinates, surfactants, and oil and grease solvents.
It also contains detergents that dissolve and disperse the dirt and keep the loosened dirt and sludge in suspension.
The problem: Cooling systems cause heat from the engine to be transferred to the coolant and then to the environment via the radiator. Oxidized and gelatinous byproducts of coolant and antifreeze form during this heat transfer.
These byproducts adhere to the metal and act as an adhesive, adhering to rust, scale, and dirt.
This layer of dirt forms an insulating barrier that reduces the heat's radiant capacity.
This can result in a loss of more than 20%. Stagnant heat dissipation causes the engine to overheat, and overheating can cause engine parts to deform or even separate.
The oil film that protects the moving parts is burned away, creating metal-to-metal contact, leading to significant wear.
Uninterrupted heat dissipation, and therefore optimal cooling system performance, is essential for engine performance.
How it works: By using a new type of solvent-compatible surfactant, Bardah Radiator Fast Flush removes deposits that have formed on the metal surface of the cooling system. The solvents penetrate into every nook and cranny to loosen dirt, break it down, and keep it in suspension until the cooling system is drained. For (old) cooling systems with harmful rust formation, scale, or blockages, it is common to use Bardahl Power Descaler. Bardahl Radiator Fast Flush can be used without draining the coolant.
It will not harm rubber hose connections and is completely harmless to aluminum.
Instructions for use:
To use, shape the Fast Flush can into a square shape and pour the contents into the radiator.
Allow the fluid level to maintain a level that will prevent overflow.
Run the engine for at least 10 minutes at a high, but not boiling, temperature.
Apply radiant coverage if necessary. Bardahl Radiator Fast Flush can also be used while driving.
Allow the mixture to work its magic for a drive of 150 to 300 km.
After cleaning with either method, the entire cooling system is cleaned. Then rinse with fresh water until the water runs clear.
Then refill the cooling system with water and antifreeze or coolant to the normal level.
You'll notice that the heater works better after flushing.
This is because the insulating layer has been removed and heat transfer is improved.
