Grotamar 71 Diesel Additive

Grotamar 71 destroys bacteria in diesel fuel.
This product provides long-term fuel protection and is often used to bridge the storage period. It stops microbiological contamination and slime formation in diesel tanks, protecting against filter clogging, engine failure, and rust. Tested and approved by leading engine manufacturers. Grotamar 71® concentrates in the water where microbes live in the fuel system, quickly and effectively destroying all microbiological contamination, working effectively and for a long time.

The biggest problem biodiesel presents is moisture/water.
Biodiesel absorbs much more water (up to 8 times more because biodiesel is hygroscopic)
than the EN590 diesel oil of the past. Moisture in fuel is a direct source of problems.

How does moisture get into the fuel tank? Temperature fluctuations, dark spaces, long storage periods (e.g., after a winter), and poor fuel filler neck seals all contribute to the formation of moisture or condensation in fuel tanks.

Fuel always contains some moisture. However, diesel can absorb a maximum of 0.02% water. If the moisture content exceeds 0.02%, it will slowly settle to the lowest point of your fuel tank.

Excess moisture reduces the lubricity of diesel fuel and will eventually lead to bacterial growth. These bacteria must be removed before they clog the fuel filter and prevent your engine from running.

Biodiesel is good for the environment but poses many problems for storage tanks, engines, filters, pipes, etc.

To effectively combat the growth of bacteria and mold, a product has been developed specifically to prevent the formation of bacteria and mold. Grotamar 71® has already proven itself in the world of boats and yachts, where it is used to prevent the buildup of harmful substances during extended periods of non-use.

Instructions for Use

• Protective treatment 0.05–0.20 l/1000 l diesel
• Cleaning contaminated diesel 0.20–0.50 l/1000 l diesel
• Shock dosage 0.5 – 1.0 l/1000 l diesel

If microbiological contamination is already visible in the tanks or is already causing technical problems, such as frequently clogged filters, a shock dose is recommended. Use 0.5 liter - 1 liter of Grotamar 71® per 1000 liters of diesel fuel.

Grotamar 71® is best added to a drained tank that is approximately one-third full. The product mixes as the tank is filled. The dosage should be adjusted to the tank's capacity. In case of heavy contamination, it is recommended to clean the tank before using Grotamar 71®.
